Prize money

The format is two races (morning and afternoon) on the river at Maylands.

Racing open to members and visitors.

Both races open to all.

First race is ideal for novice sailors.

The race is open to Laser, Minnow, Mirror and Sabre boats.

Other Dinghy Classes are welcome.

 

Great viewing points for spectators from the jetty or the foreshore.

Entrants and guests please join us afterwards

Maylands Yacht Club will host the 2026 City of Bayswater Regatta on 12th April on the Swan River in front of the Maylands Clubhouse on East Street, Maylands.

Racing will be held on a course in front of the Maylands clubhouse. There are good vantage points to watch the racing from the jetty, the clubhouse and the foreshore.

Special Instructions for MYC The City of Bayswater Regatta

All fleets start together, and sail the same course, which will be posted on the notice board and explained at the race briefing 30 minutes before the start of each of the two races.

Four classes: Mirrors, Sabres, Lasers, Others (mixed fleet)

Regatta style, normal low points score. First place, 1 point, second place, 2 points etc.

Cash prizes for lowest overall score for each class.

5 minutes warning sound signal begins the start sequence, then sounds and flags at 4 minutes (Blue Peter up), 1 minute (Blue Peter down), 0 minutes - Start.

After the 5 minute warning, do not sail through the start/finish line unless starting or finishing (DSQ).

Sail between the channel marks (DSQ).
