• MYC Full & Junior Members: $60
• New Participants: (includes complimentary Sail Training Membership, please register for this first when enrolling in the course):
  • Adult: $170
  • Junior (<19): $100

Course Description:
This four-session course is designed for sailors who have completed the Better Sailing course or have equivalent experience. It is not a beginner course.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of dinghy racing and build the confidence to join club-level events. Training covers:

• Starting sequences and race procedures
• Reading a course and rounding marks
• Rulesof racing to keep everyone safe

By the end of the program, sailors will be ready to take part in club racing and enjoy the challenge and fun of competition.

Water confident and you should have the skills, knowledge and experience gained from the Better Sailing course.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to learn the basics of racing and begin competing at club-level races. 

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Racing (Dinghy) completion certificate.
